Paramount Theatre Ceiling: Art Deco

I love this Art Deco ceiling! This is a photo of the Paramount Theatre ceiling in Oakland, CA. It has four horses with a man with wings thrusting into the air in the center. Horses and flying -- that's totally me. December 10 2024.  Samuel Merritt University, College of Nursing Pinning Ceremony. The Paramount Theatre is a 3,040-seat Art Deco concert hall located at 2025 Broadway in Downtown Oakland. When it was built in 1931, it was the largest multi-purpose theater on the West Coast, seating 3,476. Today, the Paramount is the home of the Oakland East Bay Symphony and the Oakland Ballet. It regularly plays host to R&B, jazz, blues, pop, rock, gospel, classical music, as well as ballets, plays, stand-up comedy, lecture series, special events, and screenings of classic movies from Hollywood's Golden Era. - Wikipedia

Available at Oakland Animal Services. I've followed SteveLach 's YouTube channel for the past four years. His YouTube videos are all "videos for shelter dogs."  His video posted on Facebook was how I found 'Sierra' (whom the kids and I adopted; the kids renamed her 'Ciara'). I had followed all the animal shelter Facebook Pages for one whole year, each one a 'favorite' so that the first things I would see on my Facebook feed were all the posts by the animal shelters near me. I instantly fell in love with Ciara when I first watched her online. For available dogs at Oakland Animal Services , please click the link. September 3, 2016: Watched Athletics vs Red Sox - Jose Canseco Bobblehead Day

Throwback to September 3, 2016 September 3, 2016: We watched the Oakland Athletics host the Boston Red Sox on Jose Canseco Bobble Bobble-head Day.  Got to take a photo with Banjo Man (aka Stacy Samuels).  I think David Ortiz hit one out.  I remember reminding Jian to pay extra attention when Ortiz was at bat. Found the game log at Baseball Reference .  Ortiz went 3 for 4, with two doubles, 1 run and 2 RBI's.  He was almost 41 years old.  Amazing. My son was 14 years old and still kissed me on the cheek.  Now, he's 18yo, a freshman in college and works for Amazon.  Time flies. Jian with Oakland's Banjo Man.
