Guillermo del Toro's Frankenstein is a Must-Watch! || "And thus the heart will break, yet brokenly live on." Lord Byron

✨ Frankenstein for 'Best Picture.' It's that good. Posted on November 13, 2025 And yes, I'm a big Oscar Isaac fan. I won't get into it so as not to ruin the movie for those who haven't watched it. But that may be the best Frankenstein film to date. Guillermo Del Toro is just awesome (if you haven't watched any of his other films). Written and directed by Guillermo del Toro, FRANKENSTEIN is on Netflix November 7. Starring Oscar Isaac, Jacob Elordi, Mia Goth, Felix Kammerer, with Charles Dance, and Christoph Waltz. Oscar-winning director Guillermo del Toro adapts Mary Shelley’s classic tale of Victor Frankenstein, a brilliant but egotistical scientist who brings a creature to life in a monstrous experiment that ultimately leads to the undoing of both the creator and his tragic creation. Watch on Netflix: https://www.netflix.com/title/81507921 Wowza. Just finished watching @RealGDT ‘s #Frankenstein and what a masterpiece. The cinematog...

Join Pinoybuilt.com: a Filipino-American Community online

What is Pinoybuilt.com? Pinoybuilt is a website built on "off-the-shelf" Google technology. I initially conceived of this site prior to the birth of Facebook, back when Friendster was a thing. Then life and Facebook happened. In 2011, while on vacation with family in Hawaii, I found out that they didn't sell "Filipino Strength" t-shirts as they did in Honolulu. My buddy Tony referred me to the local Maui Built apparel. I thought of a Filipino Built brand along the same line. My tita said that it was too long and suggested Pinoy Built. I bought the domain pinoybuilt.com. I worked with a couple of graphic designers in creating a logo, apparel ideas, but nothing really took hold. Eventually, I turned this back to the original concept of a community site. "I Will Be Here / Warrior is a Child" - Gary Valenciano

Image
There was a time in my bachelor days when I mostly played Gary Valenciano in my car's CD player. I had dance CDs, sure. But Gary V was once my go-to, and "I Will Be Here" and "Take Me Out Of The Dark" were my most-played songs. As I woke up this morning, made my coffee, I opened up Instagram. Priscilla Meirelles was the first post on my feed. Then I checked what my IG friends had liked. The third one (thanks to Chanylle and Malou) was a reel of Steven Curtis Chapman singing "I Will Be Here" live. Timely. If you don't know, Chapman wrote the song. Of course, I love Gary V's version most. To my kids: I will hold you and I will be here To watch you grow in beauty And tell you all the things you are to me I will be here I will be true To the promise I have made To you and to the one who gave you to me I will be here And just as sure as seasons are made for change Our lifetimes are made for years 'Cause I will be here We'll be t...

Bruce Lee once remarked, “Hoping life will treat you kindly just because you’re a good person is like expecting a tiger not to attack you because you’re a vegetarian.” Life doesn’t adhere to notions of fairness—it simply unfolds. Instead of waiting for justice , you must take action , adapt , and confront challenges with resilience and determination. #motivationquotes #motivational #motivationalspeaker

"The meaning of life is to find your gift." Pablo Picasso

Monday Motivation: "The purpose of life is to give it away." -- Pablo Picasso "You have two choices: use your energy to worry; or you can use your energy to believe, enjoy, create, manifest, heal, grow and glow." -- The Universe Xfinity outage this Monday morning in my neighborhood. I'll have to post using my phone.

Ernest Hemingway once said: In our darkest moments, we don’t need solutions or advice.

"What we yearn for is simply human connection—a quiet presence, a gentle touch. These small gestures are the anchors that hold us steady when life feels like too much." Please don’t try to fix me. Don’t take on my pain or push away my shadows. Just sit beside me as I work through my own inner storms. Be the steady hand I can reach for as I find my way. My pain is mine to carry, my battles mine to face. But your presence reminds me I’m not alone in this vast, sometimes frightening world. It’s a quiet reminder that I am worthy of love, even when I feel broken. So, in those dark hours when I lose my way, will you just be here? Not as a rescuer, but as a companion. Hold my hand until the dawn arrives, helping me remember my strength. Your silent support is the most precious gift you can give. It’s a love that helps me remember who I am, even when I forget. When life breaks you, it is because you are ready to be put back together differently.

Image
"When life breaks you, it is because you are ready to be put back together differently. Every piece of you that feels shattered is a piece that will find a new place, a new purpose, a new meaning. Trust that the cracks are where the light gets in. And sometimes, in our brokenness, we find our greatest wholeness. We find the courage to rebuild, to reimagine, to redefine what it means to be strong. You are not broken; you are breaking through." CTTO. Monday motivation. The baby girl requested to visit her mommy's gravestone, which she cleaned oh so thoroughly. I love you baby girl! We brought flowers home to her mommy. All Souls Cemetery

Dancing with and for her Beloved!

Image
On Tuesday, Jun 12, 2023, just 30 days shy of her 60th birthday, we lost a beautiful lady, my sister Cecilia. Her Celebration of Life was held in Colorado early last week, but her family and close friends were able to be present when we laid her to rest on June 29th in Livermore, with her beloved husband, Zig. … those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles." - Isaiah 40:31 Hello. My name is Eileen Beltran . I am one of Cecilia's siblings. Leslie , Cecilia , Alan and I were the four who were born in the Philippines. First the girls, then Alan. We immigrated to the US in 1968, where the last two were born... Diana and David .  She is one of my older sisters who I respectfully and affectionately called Ate Cecile .  As my sisters mentioned at the Celebration of Life in Colorado, Ate Cecile was the first of many. I know for me, she was also the first to get a stick shift car. So I, of course, had to do the same! But she al...
