American Canyon Community to Hold Peaceful Demonstration for Immigrant Rights

Filipino-American attorney Clarence Mamaril, managing immigration attorney for Catholic Charities Yolo-Solano, is encouraging local residents to participate in a peaceful demonstration in American Canyon on Tuesday, January 20, at 2:00 PM, near Safeway. The event is organized by Indivisible Napa and highlights the importance of exercising constitutional rights, including freedom of speech and peaceful assembly.

Peaceful Engagement & Community Focus

This demonstration allows residents to voice concerns about federal policies and recent actions by ICE in a positive and peaceful way. Participants are encouraged to bring signs or banners, stay hydrated, and dress warmly for the outdoor event.

As a naturalized U.S. citizen and immigrant from the Philippines, Atty. Mamaril will attend in support of immigrants and to encourage civic engagement. “Freedom of speech and freedom to peacefully assemble are enshrined in and protected by the Constitution and our Bill of Rights,” he said.
