President Astric Tuminez Welcomes the World, Utah Valley University

President Astric Tuminez welcomes students and the world to UVU campus in six languages.

Utah Valley University is a public university in Orem, Utah.  Previously called Utah Valley State College," the school attained university status in July 2008 and changed to Utah Valley University. Dr. Astrid S. Tuminez was selected as the seventh president of Utah Valley University (UVU). She is also the first female president in the university’s history. She will be succeeding Matthew S. Holland, 6th President and will be taking over the position this fall.
