California State Controller Betty Yee has endorsed Councilman Bob Sampayan for Vallejo Mayor 

Press Release:

“As mayor, Bob Sampayan will continue to champion smart government that spends within its means, leverages investments to create new opportunities, and makes decisions that look well into the future to benefit the residents and businesses of Vallejo,” she wrote in a campaign news release. “(Sampayan) has a proven track record when it comes to improving public safety in the city, expanding access to higher education and the trades, increasing community engagement, and working to stimulate economic growth.”

“With her vast financial experience as Controller and two terms serving on the Board of Equalization managing a combined portfolio of nearly $500 billion, it is a tremendous honor to be endorsed by Controller Betty Yee,” said Sampayan in the same release. “I’m speechless.”
