Anna Bay Sand Dunes: New South Wales: Australia

One Fine Afternoon in Anna Bay, Port Stephens

When we go for a holiday, it is always better to make itineraries and explore something different.  One interesting part of my 2015 Australia trip was seeing the sand dunes.  Sand dunes is something I don’t see in the Philippines.  Seeing sand dunes and walking on it is a tick off my bucket list!

I love capturing captivating, scenic views.  I won’t allow missing taking a photo with it as well.  I was with my family when I had this holiday.  Unfortunately, I was the only one who was keen on seeing the Anna Bay Sand Dunes. Anna bay is located in Port Stephens, New South Wales, Australia. This is where one of my relatives lives.  How lucky are they to have this beautiful view nearby.

It was almost five in the afternoon when I planned to walk and try to have a look at how refined the sand was.  I was so eager to take a photo that I decided to walk alone. I brought with me my action camera, handy tripod, and my self-timer watch. I never thought it would be a long walk to get to the top of the sands and yes, it is where we most appreciate the view (although everything you’ll ever see is the sand).  After that 30-minute walk, I finally reached the top. I immediately set my camera up and self-timed myself. I took plenty of photos in different angles. Yes, it is through taking lots where we get that perfect photo. I could still remember how happy I was when I went there. Sand dunes are just so unique that not everyone would appreciate them -- but I'm not like everyone!

Watch Sand Boarding at Port Stephens, New South Wales, Australia

I definitely loved seeing the people sand boarding, riding camels, and riding in safari cars. This experience is one of the most unforgettable journeys I have had. It is true that we are given only one life and getting out of our comfort zone is the most exciting!

My name is Frexie but everyone calls me 'Rexie.'  I loved Australia so much I moved from Davao City, Philippines this past July.  I am currently studying for my Masters degree in Queensland, Australia.  I am petite, friendly, and always thirsty for adventures.
