Rest In Peace Coach Thompson Back when I knew everything about basketball (high school of course), Coach Thompson and his Georgetown Hoyas were all over ESPN . In the beginning of the 1981 NCAA Basketball season, James Worthy became my favorite player.  His jump hook became my go-to move throughout my playing days.  Coach Dean Smith became my favorite coach and the North Carolina Tar Heels became my team.  When a freshman Michael Jordan hit the game winning basket in the NCAA Championship Game at the end of that season's March Madness , I bled Tar Heel blue. I watched Kyler Murray and Tua Tagovailoa all year. I missed the last couple of games, so Kyler must've finished with a bang! Oklahoma Sooners quarterback Kyler Murray wins the 2018 Heisman Trophy beating out Alabama Crimson Tide’s QB Tua Tagovailoa and Ohio State Buckeyes’ QB Dwayne Haskins. Murray’s win makes it back-to-back years that a Sooner has won the Heisman, Baker Mayfield won the award last year. Murray thanks his family, friends, teammates, his former coach Bob Stoops and gets emotional when giving thanks to current Oklahoma head coach Lincoln Riley.
