J.F.R. Perseveranda
Born in the Philippines and raised in Marikina, Chicago, and Vallejo, J.F. (Jonjo) is a proud graduate of Hogan High School (Class of 1985). He founded PinoyBuilt after a career as an IT Product Manager at Pacific Gas & Electric. Initially launched to create "Filipino Strength" apparel (inspired by Maui Built), the project evolved into a digital archive leveraging enterprise Google infrastructure for the preservation of the Fil-Am diaspora experience.
Atty. Clarence Mamaril
Managing Immigration Attorney for Catholic Charities Yolo-Solano. A St. Patrick's High (1985) alumnus and lead organizer for American Canyon Together (ACT), Clarence is a 707 community advocate and policy voice.
Mylene Leumin
A full-blooded Ilocano from Claveria, Cagayan Valley and author of the Tales of POTOS series. Now based in Florida, she reimagines ancient myths to preserve heritage for next-generation diaspora readers.
Glenn Pingol
Born in San Fernando, Pampanga, and raised in Guam and Vallejo. A UC Davis and Hogan High ('85) grad, Glenn is a world traveler who brings a global lens to the collective. Having spent many years as a resident of San Francisco, he documents the diaspora through a nuanced perspective on culture and identity.
Ike Berenguer
Born and raised in Vallejo, CA, Ike is a proud Hogan Spartan and dedicated Bay Area educator. He documents our community's history, achievement, and martial arts heritage.
Vanessa Lim, RN
A Registered Nurse and SDSU alumna documenting the intersection of healthcare and lifestyle. She represents the grit of the next generation of Filipino American healthcare providers.
Tabitha Reyes
A University of San Francisco (USF) alumna. Originally rooted in the 415, Tabi explores the "Latinos of Asia" narrative and the cultural bridge between NorCal and Los Angeles.
