Ancestry DNA: Honoring the Camposano–Perseveranda Family Legacy 🧬

Every family has a story, and ours begins long before we were born. Today, I’m sharing a treasured photograph featuring three pillars of our family: my great-grandfather Marciano Camposano, my lola Rosita Camposano, and my lolo Marciano Perseveranda. These are the faces whose choices, sacrifices, and strength helped shape the generations that followed.

As I continue building Pinoybuilt and documenting our Filipino American experience, I’ve decided to take the next step in preserving our history by joining Ancestry DNA. Why I’m Doing This

For me, this isn’t only about ethnicity percentages or curiosity. It’s about grounding our children in the stories of those who came before us—people like Marciano Camposano, Rosita, and Marciano Perseveranda. By connecting our family branches, we honor the past while giving future generations a clearer picture of where they come from.

Our diaspora—moving from Albay province in the Philippines to Chicago, to California, and everywhere in between—deserves to be documented. Many of our loved ones have passed on, and their stories are in danger of fading away unless we preserve them now.
