Best guard dog I've ever had!

June 15, 2024. Vallejo, CA. Beware strangers and intruders. My dog can sniff you a mile away. She's just a 'puppy' -- a big puppy. Her teeth are still tiny, but I'm scared to get chomped by this 'maligator.'
"Maligator" is a nickname for Belgian Malinois dogs, which are also known as "Mals" or "Malis". The name is a combination of "Malinois" and "alligator", possibly inspired by their work as police dogs. Belgian Malinois are muscular, athletic dogs that are well-suited to active owners who enjoy long hikes and frequent runs. They have a short, dense double coat that is weather-resistant and can range in color from fawn to mahogany with black tips. They also have black ears and masks, and their fur is closer on their head and legs, and slightly longer on their neck and tail. 

Belgian Malinois dogs can become restless and frustrated if they don't have a job to do, so they may not be well-suited for households where owners work long hours or travel often. Their excess energy, combined with boredom, could lead to them damaging your home.

I already think my Akira is mixed Belgian Malinois and German Shepherd. Her fur seems longer than a purebreed Belgian Malinois. But I'm still thinking of getting a DNA test for her. Any recommendations?
