Happy Year of the Cat

Vietnam is getting ready to celebrate the Lunar New Year of the Cat that begins on January 22, 2023, while many other Asian countries like China and South Korea are welcoming the Year of the Rabbit.

Streets are decked up with statues of felines and people are buying cat-themed decorations for celebrations.

Lunar New Year (Tết) begins today. It's the Year of the Rabbit for most cultures that celebrate, except for Vietnam, which celebrates the Year of the Cat (Tết Quý Mão).
