@Apple, @eBay Exist Thanks To Open Immigration

"There's a popular saying about three apples that have changed the world: Adam's apple, Isaac Newton's apple and Steve Jobs "Apple". As successful as the founder of Apple was, Jobs passed away Thursday without ever having met his real father, despite their living in the same country.

After Jobs passed away, Al-Arabiya.net tried to contact his biological father, Abdul Fattah Jandali. The 80-year-old Syrian immigrant has been living in the United States for a long time now and is the Vice Chairman of the Boomtown Casino and Hotel in Reno, Nevada."

Like Apple, another powerhouse, Ebay, was founded by an immigrant. Pierre Omidyar was born in Paris to Iranian immigrants and later moved to the United States as a child. In 1995 he started what would become a widely used auction site. The White House Initiative on AAPIs and the White House Office of Public Engagement hosted the first-ever White House Celebration of Filipino American History Month Billy Dec, member of the President’s Advisory Commission on AAPIs, moderated a panel with Filipino American trailblazers, which included Cristeta Comerford, the first Filipino American White House Executive Chef; Apl.de.ap, Co-Founder of the Black Eyed Peas; Cassie, singer; Geena Rocero, model and founder of Gender Proud; Jo Koy, comedian; and Ronnie del Carmen, Co-Director of Pixar Animation Studios.
