Fil-Am Wins At International History Olympiad For The Philippines

14-Yr Old Alejandro Lim Wins 9 Medals


Alejandro Lim, a Filipino-American who chose to represent the Philippines for the second time in the 2016 International History Olympiad (IHO), received 7 golds, 1 silver, and 2 bronze medals, including the title of Junior Varsity Overall Individual Champion. Along with Ayrton Justin B. San Joaquin, a senior at the De La Salle High School – Greenhills, the 2-member Philippines team placed 4th in the IHO Junior Varsity Bowl and 6th in overall medal count out of 29 countries and states that competed. The 2nd International History Olympiad was held at the University of Hawaii in Honolulu, Hawaii from July 17th to the 24th.
