Late 70s: Snow in Illinois Masonic Medical Center Parking Lot

Image
Throwback to when parking was free at the Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center We left the car for the week (even two or three weeks) and would have to shovel the snow around our cars to get out. Tita Myrna is on the left. My mom is in the middle with my sister Joy on the right.

It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas

2004 Tahoe Thanksgiving I found and booked the rental in South Shore Lake Tahoe. But my mom would not let my family go coz Baby Chesca had a cold. I posted the photos taken by Tita Lila years ago, but here's a quick slideshow.  The order of photos is in order that they were taken.

Remembering Edgar Allan Rivera - Chicago 2014

Image
March 6, 2014. Flew to Chicago with my sister for cousin Edgar Allan Rivera's funeral. Miss ya cuz. Took a selfie to show all the snow. My family left Chicago in 1979. Since 1986, this was home when I was in town. Thank you Tita Lita, Tito Narding, Jun & Allan! View of the neighbors across Karlov St. I moved back to Chicago in April 1989 (I thought for good). I can't imagine having to shovel snow today.

Snow in the Bay Area in April!

Image
Hey kids, grab our sled! There was snow on the ground when I left the office in Fairfield.  It's not much, but it brings me back to snow-heavy days of my childhood in Chicago. [post_ads]
