Paramount Theatre Ceiling: Art Deco

Image
I love this Art Deco ceiling! This is a photo of the Paramount Theatre ceiling in Oakland, CA. It has four horses with a man with wings thrusting into the air in the center. Horses and flying -- that's totally me. December 10 2024.  Samuel Merritt University, College of Nursing Pinning Ceremony. The Paramount Theatre is a 3,040-seat Art Deco concert hall located at 2025 Broadway in Downtown Oakland. When it was built in 1931, it was the largest multi-purpose theater on the West Coast, seating 3,476. Today, the Paramount is the home of the Oakland East Bay Symphony and the Oakland Ballet. It regularly plays host to R&B, jazz, blues, pop, rock, gospel, classical music, as well as ballets, plays, stand-up comedy, lecture series, special events, and screenings of classic movies from Hollywood's Golden Era. - Wikipedia

The Gurdwara has a main Langar hall and prayer hall. Located at 2468 Tierra Buena Rd, Yuba City, CA 95993, USA. This was my first time visiting Yuba City. This was also my first time visiting a Sikh Temple. I'll be posting the rest of my photos from this Sunday, December 8, at SAC.pinoybuilt.com .
