Trump Should Resign Now, Says Maryland's Republican Governor

Image
Jan.08: Maryland Governor Larry Hogan, a Republican, says President Donald Trump should resign and let Vice President Mike Pence take over. He speaks to Bloomberg's Kevin Cirilli. Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan said Thursday he immediately mobilized state police and national guard members when asked to go to Washington to help protect the U.S. Capitol, but the state was repeatedly denied permission before finally being authorized to send help by a defense official. Maryland governor was denied permission to send National Guard & State Police, despite requests from DC mayor & congressional leaders (needed b/c DC is federal turf). Blocked by federal head of National Guard. Sure looks like a coup from the cheap seats. https://t.co/wEjmiOmQOJ — Pete Fein (@wearpants) January 8, 2021 Maryland governor describes delayed permission to send National Guard https://t.co/eopZY798QV pic.twitter.com/HUubCOfJ7c — Military Times (@MilitaryTimes) January 8, 2021 "Yeah, we...

Image
Elaine Quijano wins Vice Presidential Debate Source: Twitter As @FiveThirtyEight tweeted, "VP debates don’t move the polls much even when they’re pretty good debates."  Since almost everyone agreed that last night's Vice Presidential Debate was not a very good one, who won?
