Three eggs, Mushrooms, Spinach & Tomatoes

Image
My usual brunch. But this time, I mixed in the spinach in the pan, as well as the mozzarella cheese. Dressed it with Cholula hot sauce.  Blood sugar was 139 at 8:50 AM. Did quick sets with dumbbells: inclined bench press, bicep curls, shoulder press, tricep curls, wrist curls.  Blood sugar is now 102 at 1:20 PM. Now, I can really enjoy my Greek yogurt with fresh raspberries for dessert. Check out the posted photos at sac.pinoybuilt.com . I'll be editing and posting more. Happy Monday! March 24, 2025. Bon Appétit. Three egg omelette in the pan.

Watch: Sugar is Not a Treat | Jody Stanislaw | TEDxSunValley

This is a must-watch! Sugar is hiding everywhere in today's widely-accepted diet, but meanwhile its devastating effects are creating more deaths than automobile accidents. Hemoglobin A1C Improvement!

Image
9.4 to 7.9! I didn't know my A1C could improve that much from October to February -- only four months. A big THANK YOU to my sister and my Dietitian in providing diet info. I also have been lifting weights (and some jumping jacks) the past month. I've been following more diet/cooking accounts on Instagram, as well as fitness/exercise accounts. I'm pretty much trying to do what I consistently did from 14 to 24 years old (before I tore my ACL). So the big assistance is the new info on what to buy at Costco or the grocery. Of course, it's also portion control on my part. Next stop -- Under 6.0 on the next labs.

My Primary Doctor said I had a Heart Attack

Image
But my new cardiologist said I did not. He recommended I have an Echocardiogram (ultrasound of heart). There you go Joy. When I asked about the stress test, he thought it would only be 70% accurate since I have a few conditions. He was concerned about my high blood pressure and my cholesterol. Dr. Rhim said my triglycerides and cholesterol were under control in early 2020, but have shot up. When he asked me about it, I said my diet had gone south the past few years. He said if I don't address these things, the likelihood of me having a heart attack in the next 5 to 10 years is 20-30%. Dr. Noces, my primary doctor, showed me three days ago on his computer monitor the number 27.4% that I likely will have a heart attack in "the next couple of  years." Dr. Rhim suggested I take Omega-3 supplements, but definitely do daily exercises/walks in addition to weights. He said I do not have to worry about "inferior ischemia" on my EKG. Just diet and exercise. Which I alread...

Coffee and Cayenne Pepper

Image
Per my dietitian's recommendation, I just tried cayenne with my coffee. I might've sprinkled a bit too much cayenne. LOL. But like Cathy Weaver in the video, coffee is part of my daily routine -- a requirement. Why add cayenne pepper to coffee? Metabolism boost The capsaicin in cayenne pepper can increase fat oxidation and reduce appetite.  Flavor Cayenne pepper adds a unique flavor to coffee, with notes of smokiness, sweetness, and fresh red pepper.  Antioxidants Cayenne peppers are a great source of antioxidants, which can help protect cells from damage and fight aging. Health benefits Cayenne pepper may also help relieve pain, reduce inflammation, and treat colds.  Allergies Some people with allergies or sinus problems find that cayenne pepper helps. Cheers! What is your #goto #morning #beverage ? For me, it's #coffee all the way. Regardless of what you add to your coffee, the #morningroutine is all about having something to #lookforward to and my #dailydriver is COF...
