PinoyBuilt — Stories of Filipino America

February 23 Flashback in Suisun City Hogan High School reunion with Grace and Joe in town, and Rowena back in the country. Grace and Rowena were both in the same class as Joy and Vince. But I was close with both of them.

The Zaragozas drove down from Sacramento to join us for lunch. Ron and Thena even brought their two sons. Unfortunately, Doppio Zero had to abide by the rules at the time -- each patron needed to have had the COVID vaccine, and show proof. Their whole family was not vaccinated. So we quickly took group photos at the entrace. Thena, Amy, Joy, Grace & Ron. Doppio Zero. Concord, CA. Grace & Joe were in town for a wedding. Vince, Joy and I met them in Napa Valley where they were staying. My friend Chef Ron recommended Boon Fly Cafe, plus Joy & Vince had eaten there twice. Joy loved it there so Boon Fly Cafe it was. Best Friend Forever since seventh grade! I'll be posting the rest later tonight.  Please drop us a comment below.
